Thats right you read that shit right. We are changing the theme slam game up with this one. This is going to be Urbana's first ever American Idol slam. How does it work? Glad you asked. 

 

How it works:

This is essentially a slam combined with elements of a workshop. 

We are going to have slammers compete in three rounds per usual but here is the catch. There will be a table of 3 Literary judges that will be commenting and taking notes on the aspects of the slammers performances per round. These judges will also share one score card

while the other 4 other score cards are given to random members of the audience (like in a usual slam). 

 

Our host for this event will be Chad Anderson doing his best Ryan Seacrest through out the show and our literary judges will be... well you will have to come to find that out but i can tell you we have a great array of upstarts ready for this event. 

 

The Break down

the starts with the open mic: 7pm

followed by the introduction of our literary judges

and then we are off and into the slam
